Association of Modern Casinos in France at Odds with La Francaise des Jeux

The Association of Modern Casinos in France has filed a lawsuit against the online gambling site, La Francaise des Jeux.

Gambling is a government regulated industry in France and the online gambling site, La Francaise des Jeux (FDJ) has monopolized the gambling industry.

The Association of Modern Casinos has accused the FDJ of abusing the influential status as the most well known online casino in France.

The complaint was filed to the European Commission and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.

According to the charges, La Francaise des Jeux is allowing minors to gamble on their online gambling site. The online gaming site does not directly forbid visitors site below eighteen years of age.

Francaise des Jeux said that they are not allowing minors to gamble, but they are not also totally banned in accessing the online gambling site.

According to the summary judgment last April, FDJ online game site attracts all visitors to their site to join the casino gambling. The Francaise des Jeux move is attracting the minors to try gambling.

Decree No. 2006-174 obligates Francaise des Jeux to be vigilant of underage online visitors.

Meanwhile, the question of monopolistic nature of Francaise des Jeux will still take a year to be solved.

Conseil d'Etat will decide regarding the monopoly of Francaise des Jeux.
